January 2009

Date: Monday, January 12, 2009
Reflection: Today is my first day of school and also, this is my first time to be in this music class.
The first thing that the teacher did was to divide the students into several groups ac-
cording to the music instruments that we play. I hope I can be taught about violin
lesson next class.

Date: Tuesday, January 13, 2009
Reflection: My prediction was wrong since I just came in to this school. I was just told that
instrument class only occured on Monday. Earlier, I had to write some things that
I wanted to know, and things that I knew already about popular and classical music.
In the next class, I hope that I would discover lots of things about the history of
music.

Date: Monday, January 19, 2009
Reflection: Just a couple of minutes ago, I just learned some techniques about how to play a mu-
sical instruments called violin. That instruments was the hardest one that I had
tried so far. Nevertheless, next week, I hope I would learn new techniques in the
class.

Reflection: Today in this class, I just got a handout about the history of both classical and popular
music. I was just surprised and amazed about the classical and popular music history.
I learned that classical music has survived for thousand years. Furthermore, I
learned that The Beatles was really great. I hope in the next class I would discover
numerous of new informations.

Reflection: My friends and I had to present our presentation to the teachers and the other
students as well. The presentation was about Classical Music vs Popular Music, and
we had to find the similarities and also the differences. I guess we did not do it
really well but I am just happy that we eventually finished it. I hope I could see
a better presentation of the other students' group in order to improve my presen-
tation skill.

Reflection: Today I saw the other groups' presentations and those were nice. I am glad that
I could observe the presentations and I believe that I could do a better presentation
next time. Moreover, I found new informations about the classical and popular music
that I did not know before. I hope the next assignment would not be harder than the
presentation project.

February 2009

Date: Monday, February 2, 2009
Reflection: This is the first class in the month of February 2009. The teacher, which was
Mr. Herry, just told me about the next project, and in the next assignment, I have
to make a report about classical and popular music like about 10 pages. I hope
I would get some ideas next class.

Reflection: Today I had to do a brainstorming about what I would like to write or how I
would arrange my essay. It was quite easy for me since I already planned my
essay yesterday. Also, apart from the project, I hope that in the next instrument
class I would be accepted in the guitar class since I knew how to play a guitar more
than a violin.

Reflection: In this particular class, I am really happy because my friend just got transferred to
drama class, which means that I could also be transferred to the guitar class.
I hope I can learn guitar more in that instrument class.

Reflection: Finally, I have arranged and also organized my musical essay. I am really happy
about it. Nevertheless, I also need to write the sentences including the pictures
and to find a website that is really reliable. I hope in the next class, I would be able
to finish it.

Reflection: Today is my first guitar instrument class. I am really joyful about it because I like
guitar more than I like violin. I really participated in the class, but I found it hard
to learn the scale.

Reflection: Today I learned again about the major scale, and it was hard. I am a bit worried
about the quiz since there are so many scales. I hope I could remember all of the
scales.

Reflection: I am really happy today because I finished the essay at last, and it made me really
tired to type, but I am glad I'd done it. I hope would get a satisfying score since I
worked on the essay really hard.

Date: Tuesday, February 24, 2009
Reflection: Earlier, I was taught about minor scale. It was confusing me at first since I did not
really get it, but luckyly I was able to understand it and it became super easy
for me. Furthermore, there would be a quiz next week and I hope I could
answer all of the questions correctly.

March 2009

Date: Monday, March 2, 2009
Reflection: I am glad I have finished the class. I believe that I answered really well in the first
page/part, but I did not quite get the second part because there was something
called natural scale and stuff, and I did not get what those were. I hope I could pass
this quiz.

Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2009
Reflection: I did not pass the quiz, but I am joyful because in the next class there would be a
re-quiz. I hope I could learn from my mistakes and I would pass the quiz next time.

Date: Monday, March 9, 2009
Reflection: I am glad since I passed and I got a good score in the essay project. Moreover, I did
well in the quiz this time and I think I am going to be successful this time on the
quiz.

Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2009
Reflection: This is the last class of my music class in the term 3. I am really happy because in
the next two week I would have holiday, also next week, it would be project week,
so, I would not and I don't have to study in those two particular weeks. Lastly,
I hope in the term 4, I would do a better job on this class, and I'm glad I did quite
well in the term 3 since I am a new student.

Date: Monday, 30 March, 2009
Reflection: This is the first day of term 4 and I got the list of what we're going to do this term. I
am a bit scared about the performing thing since I never performed before in front
of the class. I hope I would get a better explanation about what we're going to do
in this term next class, which is tommorow.

Reflection: Today, I already understood what we would really do in this particular term. Also I
have to decide what kind of classical music I am going to preform. I hope I would
get it next class.

April 2009

Date: Monday, April 6, 2009
Reflection: Apart from the performing thing, I have to make a song of my own as well. In order
to do that, I need to know and understand the different kinds of notes, and what
the notes tell us. I learned that a bit today, and I have to make a rough draft for
next class.

Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2009
Reflection: I finished the draft and I think I did a good job on it. Nevertheless I need to make the
final one using finale program, and also, I could make a few drafts more. I hope
would finish the final draft next lesson.

Date: Monday, April 13, 2009
Reflection: I finished the final draft on a piece of paper. The problem is I need to use the finale
program and give it to the teacher. Furthermore, today I decided what classical
song I am going to perform and I hope in the next class I would be able to master it.

Reflection: I am glad that today is not the day for the performance. Nevertheless, I need to keep
on practicing it to get a good score. I hope next monday I could do the best that I
could and get a satisfying score.

Reflection: I was absent

Reflection: I just performed a classical song and I was nervous. I guess I would not get a really
satisfying score but I am greatful I finally did it. I hope I finished my finale project
next class.

Reflection: I was mistaken about the project, the final one has to have lyrics, so I need to make
the real final one next class, which is next week since we have a math test tommorow
and the would not be any music lesson. Moreover, I also need to make a blog about
what I had already done until now the music class. I hope I would not forget about
the homework and finish all the works on time.

Reflection: No Class Because of Math Test

Date: Monday, May 4, 2009
Reflection: I forgot to do all of my works, and I worked on the lyrics for my song, and I am
happy I finished it already. I hope I could make the final one tommorow and give
both the soft copy and the harcopy as well to the teacher.

Reflection: At last, I completed the finale project. Nevertheless, I could not give the hardcopy
one since I do not have a printer. However, I am grateful that I sent the softcopy
already. Also for the blog, I promised to finish it next week and I hope I would com-
plete all of my homework next class.
